Expression of Interest
Expression of Interest – Women’s Advisory Committee
We are establishing a Women’s Advisory Committee within New Zealand Handball Federation and are now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI).
The purpose of this committee is to help drive the women’s strategy and contribute to key decisions across youth, junior, and senior women’s handball, including high performance and national development. The committee will also support regional growth, with a strong focus on whakamanawa (Support) and whakamana (Empowerment) for girls and women within our sport.
This will be a women‑led, collaborative rōpū (Group) aligned with the Federation’s vision and goals. Acting as a task force, members will bring ideas, identify opportunities and challenges, think critically, and help move women’s handball forward in Aotearoa. The intention is also to maintain a strong alignment with the mens programme, ensuring efficient sharing of resources and expertise.
The advisory committee is open to everyone - coaches, managers, parents, players, volunteers, or anyone who shares a passion for developing women’s handball.
If you’re interested, please complete this Expression of interest form. EOIs are open for two weeks and close on the 19th of March. Our aim is to hold the first hui at the end of March
We look forward to hearing your whakaaro and learning how you would like to contribute to the future of women’s handball in Aotearoa.
Feel free to reach out to Cyprien Pesques (womensnationalteam@handball.org.nz) or Karl Fitzpatrick (high-performance@handball.org.nz) if you require further information about this proposed committee.
